Centre de Congrès de Lyon - 50, quai Charles de Gaulle 69006 Lyon

Call for symposia

These symposia will focus on a specific topic that will advance your field and generate original perspectives.

Deadline for submission: October 30th 2023

Symposium organization: Each symposium will have a fixed duration of 2 hours and should be accessible to all congress participants; some flexibility in the organization of symposia will be allowed, in terms of number of speakers (4 to 8) or time for more in-depth discussions (e.g. round table...).
The list of accepted symposia will be announced in December 2023. Abstract submissions for symposia will close in spring 2024. If the symposium is accepted, all speakers and organizers must register by the deadline, otherwise the symposium will be cancelled.

Main symposium organizer: This person is the point of contact for the session, is responsible for communication with the speakers and will act as moderator during the symposium (possibly with another person to be identified). Symposium organizers will select papers for their sessions from submitted abstracts. We ask them to ensure the diversity of speakers in their sessions, paying attention to gender, career stage, geography ...

Funding: We are trying to keep registration fees as low as possible for this conference, and currently have no dedicated funding for inviting symposium speakers. We encourage organizers to seek potential funding if they wish to cover the travel, accommodation and conference costs of speakers they propose.

To submit a symposium proposal, please provide the following information:

1. The name, e-mail address and affiliation of the organizer, who agrees to personally attend the entire meeting.
2. The title of the proposed symposium.
3. A scientific abstract of no more than 1000 characters explaining the theme of the symposium and its originality. This is the text that will attract participants to your session.
4. If you wish, you may provide the names and affiliations of two speakers you feel would be suitable for your symposium. Please note that we want to encourage symposia that contribute to the diversity of participants in terms of career, gender, etc.

Each person may submit only one symposium proposal.
